Deja vu

Today marks my Granny's 3 year anniversary.

I've not been a good Granddaughter at all. Since Granny passed away, i've not even been to one of her anniversaries. Today is the first. When I was praying to her, i felt awkward and didn't know what to say. In the end, I just channelled to her a pathetic RIP mental message to her. But even though I was pretty thoughtless, I felt that just by being there I felt in touch with her.

I realized that so much time has passed since the last time I went to my Granny's house. In fact, I've not visited even my Granny's house since her passing. When I visited her house today (which also houses my uncle and his family), where she used to stay has been rented out. So basically I spent around an hour talking to my cousin, whom i've not seen for a really long time. He was asking me several thought-provoking questions and I realized some unexpected stuff.

Such as.... my social circle has been pitiable. I've not spoken face to face with a male around my age for a long time. So long I cannot remember the last time i did. But honestly I think it's ok, since that's what i wanted to try by attending a girl's school.

And that I would rather be famous before I die then after, and this fact is stopping me from being a writer. (because artists and writers usually become famous only after they die! :( )

The talk was fun and pretty entertaining.

After that, I visited a relative of mine who lives around the corner. She has Alzheimer's disease, I think. This visit also made me realize that I don't want to have Alzheimer's disease because I want to retain all the good memories till my last breath.

So to summarise, today has been really reflective.

Then the fun part comes! :D

After many rounds my dad made because we couldn't find the mrt station Yang Gin wanted to meet me at, in the end I dropped off at the wrong mrt station, but it was just a station away therefore i just took the mrt. 39 cents only anyway! But i caused Yang Gin to waste 39cents despite the fact that she didn't even take the mrt. SORRY! :(

So we walked to her house which was big beautiful and bawesome. (sorry I wanted to describe her house in 3 b's :P) Her room was so pretty! Green walls. Cheritta would go gaga in it. heehee. It was quite constructive. We managed to finish everything we planned to do. The fantabulous boards will be revealed tmr! I bullied Yang Gin by making her do the front herself with her Artsy Yang Gin personality in charge. Heehee. I felt guilty so i tried to entertain her by teaching her moves I saw on a ad about gym balls which she had. heehee. I tried doing the moves on the ball but failed miserably. Her tiger/lion, on the other hand, was super successful and managed to make her giggle! :D

I also found out at least 3 personalities she has. 1, Artsy Yang Gin. 2, Young Genes/Jeans. 3, Yang Gin the GINius. heehee. She claims to have one emo and quiet one but due to lack of evidence i shall not believe wholly in it yet. hoho.

I found a way to counteract yanggin's sarcastic answers already! I even managed to train her within an hour. :) So although we finished our posters, we also managed to have loads of fun. haha!

On the whole, today was a balance of reflectivity and major funness. the beginning of the day was slow moving but the latter part was flying past so fast. :) balance!

*PS YANGGIN IS SO CUTE WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG. so chubby! everyone say awwwww.

Eventful latter part of the year

Heyho people! haha I'm finally back after a long long while. Basically my disappearance is due to the lack of time, and since exams are over (exams ended quite a long while ago actually), I just decided to post a post! No actually it was cause of my guilt for neglecting this blog and Sherby's timely reminder of my dead blog. :/ teehee.

Anyway! So I'm going to talk abt several events that happened since my last blog post about my life. :D

-NDP
-Moi's Birthday
-EYAs
-Coastal Cleanup!
-Netball Carn
-Karaoke Competition
-Selection Camp
-Class Party

Woah.I'm super back dated. :(

NDP.

The RGS experience of NDP was really really cool. I had a blast! Firstly, the whole school was told to deck out in red and white. I wore my ORA shirt, one of the school approve tee i love the most, and others wore their own clothes or PE shirt or someother white/red shirt they have.
There was all the marching done by the uniform groups , and quite a few ppl (in the uniform groups) had fainting spells. One event unique to RGS was the catwalk by the sec 4s, when they had to incorporate Singapore's famous features (such as ERP gantries?) It was really just something that was dedicated to Singapore, to show that despite the quirky bits of Singaporeans, we all LOVE Singapore.:) The winning entry was from class 414.

Moi's Birthday

My birthday was on 7th of September. I really thank all the fantabulous people who wished me happy birthday! Every single birthday wish i got warmed my heart so much that even putting it near a furnace would be still incomparable. THANKS PEOPLE! :D

EYAs

The EYAs weren't too bad. I didn't expect much to start with. I just wanted to maintain a GPA above 3.0 and i exceeded my expectations:) However, sometimes I just wished I had not wasted time and could absorb information faster just like my fellow classmates and EUNICE THE GEPer!

Coastal Clean up!

On one of the saturdays last month, the whole sec1 cohort of my school went to East Coast Park for Coastal Cleanup! It was kinda fun yet tiring, and there were a million and one cigarette buds and styrofoam. It was crazy! Underneath one coconut tree you would be able to find minimum 20 cigarette buds. It was sad because the dustbin was actually just a few metres away. :( I just hope that people could be more considerate next time and DON'T be lazy, just stand up and throw your rubbish away!

Netball Carn

Netball carn was kinda screwed especially for the cheering competition. Majority of the matches we played tied. 1st prize goes to 102, who didn't even lose one match. Super pro! :) Reason why the cheering competition was screwed was as we were really unsure of what we were doing. :/ But i guess now we know the consequences of not preparing well!: )hehheh. Not that these kinds of stuff didn't happen before. But the class banner was really PRETTY though! It was original too! I guess cause we forgot abt linking it to netball carn therefore we didn't win. :(

INTER-CLASS KARAOKE COMPETITION!

OMGOMG this was SUPER fun. Of course the fact that my class got 1st(!) had a huge role in making it so fabulicious. But loads of happiness came when we were choreographing the dance steps and stuff. I'm really sorry to those who felt kind of left out, however, i hoped you all still had fun. :) I hate those stupid mikes who died on us yet we manage to scream the words our (though they were kinda shrilly heehee)

My favourite dance moves was the shimmy (a.k.a my signature dance move!) and the bestest part was when my class (oblivious to the O.o look the audience were giving us) started jumping and being even more high!

When Mr Yeoh was announcing the results, I was actually feeling slightly down as I felt we didn't do too well.(the final rehearsal was the BOMB!) I thought a 3rd prize was already a bonus. So when the 3rd and 2nd prize was let out that it was not us I had already given up 95% of hope. (honestly, I thought 112 would get the 1st prize -YMCA!!!!-) But yet the prize came to US! :DD YAY the very 1st prize our class won! :) I hope we'll be more enthu abt these kind of events next year and clinch more and more and MORE prizes TOGETHER! :)

Selection Camp

I really feel sad when I think about this superb opportunity i had right in front of me, which I let slip in between my fingers. So I'll just be talking me reflections and stuff. I was unenthu and uncontributive throughout the whole camp, so by the end of the camp I was feeling extremely guilty already and knew I would not be chosen. Yet I just hoped, just prayed that maybe it could happen. Of course in the end I was unsuccessful and majorly disappointed. HOWEVER,I know the chosen ones fully deserve being chosen and I'm still glad i managed to experience yet another great event in my life, even if I was unsuccessful. I truly learnt much much more things and I know i'm not ready yet. Though I should say that, I am definitely trying out again next year! :P

_____________________________________________________________

Tomorrow will be the class party and Munnie and Zengyu have planned a wonderful party that would definitely be a success. :D Not to mention the awesome donuts(72! O.O) Mrs Williamme decided to treat us tmr! I am salivating just on that thought alone. And to think of the 2 pizzas and KFC popcorn chicken we're ordering as a class..... CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT!

Most informative post yet, by

Candies.

First it was the Macbook Air.

Then it was the Ipod Touch.

Finally it was THE Sims 3.

Aw man.

I need those candies that make people like me euphoric. It's killing me! Not to mention my meagre savings kept safely in the bank. Maybe it's time to claim that reward that i was supposed to get for my PSLE results. I hope my dad hasn't forgotten...

Chomp Chomp

These few months has just slipped past me. It's glad to know that they're gone as it means holidays are coming which is of utmost importance to me as i need a break from school work and worrying! I seriously need to procrastinate in worrying!

My last post was in the beginning of March and now it's the end of April. I have not blogged for a grand total of 7 weeks. A little late but nevermind, now people who really cares will actually come :)

Highlights of the past months:

6A-outing
ORA-fest!
Gym Competition
New Venue for Gym(i know it sounds totally boring but the venue was totally exciting)
Learning Journey Week
:)

6a-outing:
I remembered it being rather fun and it was great to see the very enthu people who specially came for this outing. Boos to those who did not come, because you all missed loads of fun with crabs. And sand.

ORA FEST:

at RI(JC)

It was a walk-a-jogathon around RI(JC). not a strenuous work-out at all, but a great morning walk around the gigantic school. It was HUGE!

Well explaination made by TING YANG GIN!:
"
some guys who blocked our way.
lol, they started walking slower and sower and slower. then one RI guy (not taking part in walk-a-jogathon) needed to pass, then i (gently) pushed winnie forward, so she got past! (= then the rest of us past by going onto the road. (= haha"
When i got through, there were those "EH I LET HIM GO THROUGH NOT LET YOU GO THROUGH"s. GAH. So frightening la those gays!(though they were saying it in a joking way but nevertheless, they were TALL.)

And then there was the Gym Booth, which required many octaves of SHRILL

SCREAMING!Our booth was a para-para dance booth. We got $88 dollars in the end! It wasn't alot, but we expected much less as it was only a dollar a dance! Which meant 88 PEOPLE DANCED! :DD

Super Enthu Zeng Yu!

Gym Com :

B'div - 1st (OUR 10th YEAR!)
C'div - 2nd

I was just a reserve by the way, who was a total slacker. Because i'm a competitor, i get to miss 2 days of school! How cool is that! :))

Heh, i get to see everyone perform, got to stay over at Clara's house for pre-Gym Com stay-over! It was really cool baking and packing and sleeping! :) Her house was so pretty!:)AND THE PIZZA AND YUMMY CHICKEN WINGS! : D

New Venue For Gym:

The trip to introduce the new venue was really exciting. The place is an old old empty school which has sat there for about 9 years. CREEPY!
I saw decaying shit and urine. It was crazzzzzy i tell you! It's like the places where many supernatural stories are set in. GAH!*goosebumps*
LEARNING JOURNEY: WAS FUN FUN FUN.

Especially the JOURNEY OF ERRORS and MARINA BARRAGE trip!

The Journey of errors were basically fun because we were not under adults' supervision. It was toally free and our grouped found many mistakes! :) The Eng AA turned out pretty darned good and I'm perfectly happy! :) The Lit PT made me stay up till 1 for tw
o nights which made me slightly irritable the next day. But when the whole grouped said a loud thank you to me, I was so touched, all the frowns and tiredness were wiped away. We managed to get the scrapbook together pretty nicely, and handed it up on time! :)

The Marina Barrage trip was funny.

Others were oh-kay.

Basically it has been quite fun. Now i'm in the midst of my 2nd SAs. GAH. 3 more papers! Gambatte winnie!

Hello Tellurians

Hoho, I'm finally blogging because a few people are annoyed by my lack of blogging. My blog has been having a good rest for a while :) Haha. So now i'm here to make it work again! :)

I think some people emphasize with me for giving the reason lack of time. Everytime i prepare myself to blog, and since it's probably late at night, I find myself in bed the next morning. Terribly saddening, huh?

Anyway, I've gotten in Rhythmic Gym for CCA. Reeally tiring, and i used to hate it because i was lousy at it, but now i'm getting used to it. Trainings are supposed to end at 6.30pm, but since competition is in April, the teacher has been really grouchy and letting us off at 7.00. Training days are mondays, wednesdays, fridays and saturdays. : ) Mondays and Weds will be at Potong Pasir CC, Fridays at school, Sats at RI. I like RI's Gym best cause the mats are much much softer. Easier to be lazy. Definitely NOT because there are guys there. The guys are skinny beanies.
Previously, Sat trainings were not for sec ones because we had House Practices and PSLs Sessions. I'm depressed that it has ended, because they were really fun. Every week we would learn new cheers during House Practices, scream with all our mights (my class is extremely powerful at this),jump around and everything. PSLs will teach us memorable lessons every week, and everything good. : ) Everyone loves our psls. They rock.

On Friday, it was founder's day. Founder's Day was absolutely awesome. Under the night sky(it was in the evening) and spotlights...It was stunning. Miss Evelyn Norris, (ex-principal of RGS ; She has a hall named after her: )) She came back. Mrs Deborah Tan came back too. 2007 Woman of the year, Mrs Lim, she came back. :) To sum up, it was perfect.

Oppsie, the letter "F" is gone : (

In the midst of everything nice, of course there are downturns as well. I might have failed nearly all my exams, with tons of performance tasks (Not exaggerating, i'm not one of those irritating people who go, "Ohoh, i think I failed" and end up being top in class), class t-shirt making me annoyed... Life isn't perfect, but i have to get used to that.
